The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS, http://www.imls.gov) is a federal institution in the USA which supports and funds projects in museums and libraries across the USA. Its website works as a useful clearing house with online resources freely available on IMLS-funded projects as well as with IMLS research and assessment reports over a host of museum-related issues (http://www.imls.gov/resources/resources.shtm).
