Lynx[]

When accessing the New York City Fire Museum's homepage through the Lynx browser, there is some extraneous unhelpful text referring to images that comes up first. However, within four lines you get to the main navigation information so it could be a lot worse. Farther down the page, though, you come across a few forms that are usually hidden on the homepage. These forms are distracting and confusing for those using Lynx.

Web Accessibility Checker[]

When using the University of Toronto's Web Accessibility Checker, the home page returns with 14 known problems, 3 likely problems, and 516 potential problems. Most of the known problems are missing alt attributes for images, something that could easily be changed.

WAVE Accessibility Test[]

This test also returns with 14 errors on the home page. View the full report here.
