The Tech Museum Awards ( is an international Awards program that honors innovators from around the world who are applying technology to benefit humanity.The Awards program was launched in 2000 and each year, candidates are nominated and then invited to submit applications within 5 categories: Health, Education, Environment, Economic Development, and Equality. Individuals, for-profit companies, and not-for-profit organizations are eligible. The award is sponsored by Applied Materials, Inc., Center for Science, Technology and Society at Santa Clara University, American Council for The United Nations University, UNDP, World Bank Institute, Intel, Accenture, Microsoft, Agilent Technologies Foundation, and the Swanson Foundation.
